Civil Engineer NOV 2021-CURRENT

PROJECT: Michigan/US Port of Entry (Gordie Howe International Bridge) to Interstate I-75

This interchange project covers approximately 1.8 miles of I-75 between Springwell and Clark Street modification to accommodate the in and outbound traffic to and from the POE. Also, the project comprises replacing 4 existing traffic bridges and several pedestrian bridges and removing and replacing the road and its corresponding infrastructure.

  • Coordinating construction activities, assigning construction crew on theproject

  • Ensuring safe construction practices are being implemented throughout the construction activities

  • Writing construction contracts and managing material, labor and construction equipment

  • Recording daily construction activities and recording labor hours (regular and Overtime) and equipment hours

I worked as QA/QC Lead, developed, and administered Quality Inspection and testing plans for shoring, backfilling, foundation, hot and cold weather mass concrete, weeping tile and waterproofing installation, grade, and suspended slab concrete and rebar inspection.

  • Prepared the quality and testing plan for the major construction elements including concrete, shoring, tie-back installation, waterproofing, weeping tile, millwork, flooring, drywall installation, etc.

  • Identified Inspection and testing requirements to schedule the inspectors and prepare the quality work plans and execution during construction.
