ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager of Business Development to help shape the future of our thriving Emerging Companies & Venture Capital and Technology Transactions practice groups.

In this pivotal position, you’ll drive business development and marketing initiatives for cutting-edge legal practices and collaborate directly with leading partners and business development professionals. Your efforts will keep the firm at the forefront of technological innovation—including artificial intelligence—and industry trends. You’ll spearhead participation in premier events, design and implement profile-raising strategies, and play a hands-on role in building the firm’s market presence and client relationships.

As Senior Manager, Business Development, you will:

  • Lead the creation and execution of innovative business development and marketing strategies, collaborating with talented colleagues across multiple teams and disciplines.

  • Stay on the pulse of emerging company fundraises, connecting the firm with exciting new ventures and coordinating impactful outreach initiatives.

  • Partner with Securities and Capital Markets experts to track IPO opportunities, and with Mergers & Acquisitions specialists to identify potential acquisition targets.

  • Craft compelling pitches and proposals that showcase the firm’s strengths and win new business.

  • Drive cross-selling initiatives in collaboration with the global business development team, broadening the firm’s reach and impact.

  • Create and maintain standout marketing materials—including award submissions, web content, and recognition highlights—to position the practice at the top of the industry.

  • Maximize ROI by evaluating, managing, and leveraging sponsorships and partnerships, and ensuring high-impact post-event engagement.

  • Organize and oversee high-profile client events, webinars, and conferences that strengthen relationships and enhance the firm’s visibility.

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to elevate the firm’s media presence and digital marketing efforts.

  • Shape and enhance business development processes, contributing your insights and expertise to department-wide initiatives.

  • Take on additional related projects and responsibilities that will stretch your skills and advance your career.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (required); emphasis in marketing, law, or business preferred. Advanced degree a plus.

  • Minimum of 10 years in marketing or business development, with a proven record of driving results.

  • At least 5 years’ experience within a corporate law firm or related industry environment.

  • Background in relevant practice areas, markets, or industries is a strong asset.
